Chevron Stripes

Over the Christmas break my daughter decided to paint her room. It has been pink for the last few years and she has finally decided that she has outgrown the pink. We painted her room an off white. Then she mathematically divided her wall into three sections. Starting in the middle she divided those sections into squares and drew a line from corner to corner in each square, like you would when doing a half square triangle for quilting. She taped off the sections that would be the stripes then began to paint.

She did a great job. The chevron stripes turned out lovely.

We now have our chevron stripes available in quilt shops. Ask for the Riley Blake Designs chevrons. We have 9 different colors and if you search the  internet you can see all the fabulous items you can make with these amazing chevron stripes.

I love all the hand embroidery on this quilt. It will be a classic.

This was a block exchange quilt. She did a great job of her colors and arranging of blocks. I think this quilt turned out great.

Farm Girl Vintage "Woolly Sheep"

Woolly Sheep is the last block on the  Farm Girl Vintage Friday Blog Hop Sew-Along.

It has been sew much fun sewing along  with Lori Holt, Fat Quarter Shop and all of you every Friday.

I have a pile of super cute Farm Girl Blocks that I can't wait to start piecing together to make a fabulous quilt.

I wanted my sheep to be white so I used low volume fabrics...I'm going to add some embroidery around the edge of the sheep to help the outline pop.

My Woolly Sheep and I  took a little field trip to Birdseye, Utah.  My sister-in-law and her husband  live on a ranch... It was the perfect spot for some  Farm Girl Vintage photos.

Don't you love this old farm truck!

The setting was a beautiful, peaceful, tranquil day.

We were able to take these photos with the perfect backdrop for Woolly Sheep.

Dolly Book Tour

It is such an honor to be included with Elea Lutz ***DOLLY BOOK TOUR*** I have worked with Elea for many years and she always continues to inspire me with her fresh approach to color and design. She is super talented and tops it off with her sweetness that endears her to everyone. Elea's new book called Dolly has beautiful photography that keeps you looking through the pages over and over again.
After looking at all the lovely dolly themed projects I finally decided to make this cute Doll Dress Wall Hanging.

I used Little Dolly from Elea's recent fabric range. The colors and little mini designs are perfect for all the projects in her new book called DOLLY.

One block just wasn't enough...ha ha  I started thinking about the cute grand baby daughter  that will be coming in December.
