2013 Spring Quilt Market Day 3

There's more! This is the section with the basics. Polka dots, solids, shades, pop, tone on tone dots.

Riley Blake Designs continues to expand their basics.

Snug as a Bug on the left is designed by Melly and Me. An Australian designer who is known for her very cute softies patterns. The product featured on the shelf are all patterns coming
soon  in her new book. On the right is Le Creme which is cream mixed with a color. They are yummy. If you look close on the shelf is my cake I made for schoolhouse where we taught about basics being the "icing on the cake."

Priscilla is designed by Lila Tueller. This is an elegant line with beautiful colors full of whimsical flowers and designs. The colors are soft and beautiful to work with.

Everything is made from cotton or laminate. I love the gorgeous wedding dress and the clutches and bags are to die for. Lila has patterns available for all of these outfits.

Kensington is designed by Emily Taylor. This is another beautiful floral fabric line with grays, corals, aquas and a hint of a soft yellow citron color.

Enjoy today and get some sewing done!

Happy Sewing.

This is the million dollar quilt. Each block represents the story behind a letter from her son who served a 2 year mission. Don't you think that is such a great idea. I love it.

I love all the hand embroidery on this quilt. It will be a classic.

This was a block exchange quilt. She did a great job of her colors and arranging of blocks. I think this quilt turned out great.

Farm Girl Vintage "Woolly Sheep"

Woolly Sheep is the last block on the  Farm Girl Vintage Friday Blog Hop Sew-Along.

It has been sew much fun sewing along  with Lori Holt, Fat Quarter Shop and all of you every Friday.

I have a pile of super cute Farm Girl Blocks that I can't wait to start piecing together to make a fabulous quilt.

I wanted my sheep to be white so I used low volume fabrics...I'm going to add some embroidery around the edge of the sheep to help the outline pop.

My Woolly Sheep and I  took a little field trip to Birdseye, Utah.  My sister-in-law and her husband  live on a ranch... It was the perfect spot for some  Farm Girl Vintage photos.

Don't you love this old farm truck!

The setting was a beautiful, peaceful, tranquil day.

We were able to take these photos with the perfect backdrop for Woolly Sheep.

Farm Girl Vintage features 45 different quilt blocks  in 6″ and 12″ sizes.  There are bonus projects and quilts galore.  The instructions are visual and easy to read and understand.   There are so …

Spelling Bee Sew Along

I'm so excited to be part of the Spelling Bee Book Sew Along byLori HoltofBee in my Bonnet for Fat Quarter Shop. There is so much to LOVE about this fun book that includes all upper and lower case letters. It also features complete instructions for 100 letters, numbers, punctuation and picture blocks in 6" and 12" block size, plus 18 quilt projects!

I used "Yes Please" fabric line by  My Mind's Eye for Riley Blake Designs. The color palette is black and off white with a touch  of rose gold. The simplicity of the colors lends itself to sophistication.

I have a fun project planned with the blocks I will be making.  Right now I have my binding by Vintage Door wrapped around my Binding Baby which is made by Shari for Doohikey Designs.

You can see how adorable my Binding Baby is and how she keeps my binding from unraveling while waiting to be used.

My letter today is "lowercase o". It is super quick and easy. I have made several blocks as I am preparing to ma…
