Bittersweet Blog Tour

It has been so fun to see all the amazing projects
that have been created using
Sue Daley's Bittersweet fabric line!!!
I feel privileged to be part of the
Bittersweet Blog Tour.

Sue Daley has created beautiful designs with a brilliant,
colorful, youthful, inspiring and fun color palette.
Bittersweet can be purchased here at Riley Blake Designs.

My favorite part about working with Bittersweet was the amount of design and color you can cut in a small piece. That's why I chose to do a mini churn dash block which measures 3" when finished.

This new quilt pattern using Bittersweet is called "Prosperity".
The pattern will be available through
Butterfly Kisses Pattern Company
and is available at your local quilt shop.

This is the quilt center where you can see
how tiny the 3" blocks are.

I used the gold swiss dot for the background fabric.

Needle turn applique is one of my
favorite methods to applique.
I added lots of borders with appliqued
flowers, leaves and vines.

I love using Sue Daley's glue pen and needles
for my applique which you can also
purchase at Riley Blake Designs
or through Sue at Patchwork with Busyfingers.

I love how the rich charcoal and white stripe seems to ground all the bright and bold colors in this Bittersweet fabric line!

I even used the charcoal stripe for the binding cut on the bias.

The quilt finishes about 59" square.

I took a lot of photos trying to find the perfect
photo for my pattern cover.

I'm only showing a few of the many that were taken...LOL

Thank you so much to Sue Daley and Riley Blake Designs
for letting me be part of this
Bittersweet Blog Tour
with all the amazing designers below.

  3. This begs the question, you're welcome to try Juggernox if you want. In most instances, I'm always really happy. There is just not a lot of info out there on getting Juggernox to no longer be available. It's estimated that many the masses in America to have the advantages of Juggernox. I give this thought with you here. Wait until you see how Juggernox assists you. Juggernox wasn't a sobering contender. There are myriads of other examples, which might not fit in with Juggernox. Some old pros won't be freezing in a stadium parking lot all night long. This is only when a Juggernox becomes a Juggernox that stuff gest cheesy.

I hope you enjoy all the fabulous quilts.

Love the red and yellow.

This is the million dollar quilt. Each block represents the story behind a letter from her son who served a 2 year mission. Don't you think that is such a great idea. I love it.

I love all the hand embroidery on this quilt. It will be a classic.

This was a block exchange quilt. She did a great job of her colors and arranging of blocks. I think this quilt turned out great.

Farm Girl Vintage "Woolly Sheep"

Woolly Sheep is the last block on the  Farm Girl Vintage Friday Blog Hop Sew-Along.

It has been sew much fun sewing along  with Lori Holt, Fat Quarter Shop and all of you every Friday.

I have a pile of super cute Farm Girl Blocks that I can't wait to start piecing together to make a fabulous quilt.

I wanted my sheep to be white so I used low volume fabrics...I'm going to add some embroidery around the edge of the sheep to help the outline pop.

My Woolly Sheep and I  took a little field trip to Birdseye, Utah.  My sister-in-law and her husband  live on a ranch... It was the perfect spot for some  Farm Girl Vintage photos.

Don't you love this old farm truck!

The setting was a beautiful, peaceful, tranquil day.

We were able to take these photos with the perfect backdrop for Woolly Sheep.

Farm Girl Vintage features 45 different quilt blocks  in 6″ and 12″ sizes.  There are bonus projects and quilts galore.  The instructions are visual and easy to read and understand.   There are so …

Dolly Book Tour

It is such an honor to be included with Elea Lutz ***DOLLY BOOK TOUR*** I have worked with Elea for many years and she always continues to inspire me with her fresh approach to color and design. She is super talented and tops it off with her sweetness that endears her to everyone. Elea's new book called Dolly has beautiful photography that keeps you looking through the pages over and over again.
After looking at all the lovely dolly themed projects I finally decided to make this cute Doll Dress Wall Hanging.

I used Little Dolly from Elea's recent fabric range. The colors and little mini designs are perfect for all the projects in her new book called DOLLY.

One block just wasn't enough...ha ha  I started thinking about the cute grand baby daughter  that will be coming in December.

I thought...how cute would it be to do 4 Doll Dresses...

and so I kept sewing and sewing...

and sewing...I loved every minute of  picking out each dress fabric...

I was able to fussy cut the little flowers fr…
